Hi there, I’m Tamera Clark! A passionate pastry chef born and raised in Vancouver B.C. The last 12 years of my life I have spent traveling the world and living in some pretty fabulous spots. Without even realizing it, all these places shaped and guided me to where I am today. In between meeting fabulous people and having the time of my life I threw myself into the food scene and picked up some pretty delicious recipes, techniques and training along the way. I’ve spent the last 3 years of this journey building my first business. A beautiful bakery in Montreal that specializes in pies, mini pies to be exact, the cutest little things you ever did see! My next exciting endeavour is back in my hometown of Vancouver building and designing a new bakery to let my creations shine. BjornBar Bakery in now open in Edgemont Village, North Vancouver!

My experience comes from working in the hospitality industry for 20+ years. Front of house, back of house and everywhere in between. I found the best way to be good at my job is to know all the ins and outs of every position, so thats what I did. Bartend, manage, serve, cook and clean…you gotta do it all!

What do I love? Well I love dogs (who doesn’t), fashion brightens my world, nothing feels better than an amazing hair day, and of course I LOVE DESSERTS. Lots and lots of desserts. It’s pretty much all I think about at the moment. What can I make out of this? What can I create from that? It never ends.

My days are spent in the kitchen baking, learning and creating. I can honestly say there is no better feeling than creating new and beautiful desserts. From the flavour profile to the last little decorative detail that goes on at the end.

It’s my hope that I can capture this experience and share it with you. From recipes for you to follow, tempting photos of the newest creations I’m working on, to behind the scenes footage to help you feel you are right there with me.
